         The song The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot was released on the bands second studio album Deja Entendu. The song itself is a slow acoustic song, This song is a lot different to the rest of the songs on the album. The lyrics are very sad though i wouldn't call the music depressing. This is quote by someone who's a fan of brand new and his interoperation of what the songs meaning is.

Now for the meaning of the song. I think its about his dad, and his dad not agreeing with Jesse's (lead singer) lifestyle. Much like the same relationship i have with my father, which is probably why i connected to it so much. Well i always say take the song for what it means to you, and thats what it means to me

They are not usually many examples of acoustic videos and the only one I can think of at the moment is Wonder wall by Oasis. These videos are usually more performance/Narrative based and contain a lot of footage of the band or a band member.
